Rabies Vaccine DEFENSOR 3

Defensor 3 is prepared from beta-propiolactone inactivated rabies virus (strain PV - Paris) with the addition of an adjuvant — aluminum hydroxide — and preservatives: gentamicin and thimerosal.

The vaccine induces an immune response in dogs, cats, and ferrets against rabies within 21 days after a single administration. Immunity is maintained for at least 1 year.

Defensor 3 is used for the prevention of rabies starting from 3 months of age. The product is indicated for healthy animals only. The vaccine is administered at a dose of 1 mL subcutaneously (cats and ferrets) or subcutaneously / intramuscularly (dogs).

Revaccination is performed after 1 year. In rabies-endemic areas, annual revaccination is required; in non-endemic areas, vaccination every 3 years is acceptable. Shelf life of the vaccine is 18 months. Store at 2°C to 7°C.
