Drug description
Dectomax
Dectomax contains 1% doramectin (avermectin A1a) with ethyl oleate and sesame oil. Doramectin blocks the electrical activity of parasite nerve and muscle cells, causing paralysis and death. Does not cross the blood-brain barrier. Provides protection against re-infestation for up to 28 days. Active against GI and pulmonary nematodes, ticks, mites, lice, bot flies, and fly larvae.
Cattle: 1 ml per 50 kg subcutaneously or intramuscularly in the neck area once. Prohibited in animals producing milk (not later than 60 days before calving). Slaughter — after 70 days. Storage: 2–30°C, 3 years; after opening — 6 months. Pack: 50 ml and 500 ml vials.
