Drug description
Orbenin EDC
Orbenin EDC contains 600 mg cloxacillin as the benzathine salt in highly dispersed form with stearic acid, aluminum stearate, and mineral oil. The antibiotic is active against Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. (including Strep. agalactiae), and Corynebacterium pyogenes, including penicillin-resistant strains. Therapeutic effect in dry cows — at least 7 weeks.
Applied once at dry-off: one syringe per udder quarter, no later than 42 days before expected calving. Milk withdrawal — 5 days after calving. Slaughter — after 28 days. Storage: 2–25°C, 2 years. Pack: 3.6 g in plastic syringes.
