Drug description
NSAID RIMADYL SOLUTION FOR INJECTION
Rimadyl is a 5% solution for injection containing 50 mg carprofen per 1 mL. Carprofen belongs to the NSAID group and predominantly inhibits cyclooxygenase-2, blocking the synthesis of inflammatory prostaglandins.
Used to relieve pain and inflammation in dogs and cats following surgical procedures, as well as during premedication or anesthesia.
Administered intravenously or subcutaneously to dogs at 4 mg/kg (1 mL per 12.5 kg). Cats receive a single IV or SC dose of 4 mg/kg. Do not administer intramuscularly.
Not recommended for animals with cardiac, hepatic, or renal pathologies, or in hypovolemia. Do not use concurrently with other NSAIDs. Store at 2°C–8°C. Shelf life: 3 years.
