Cattle (Cows)

Feed refusal and recumbency (Paresis)

Case Study Image

Problem Overview:

Postpartum paresis (milk fever) is a critical condition caused by a sudden drop in blood calcium levels after calving. The cow’s ears become cold, muscles weaken, and she cannot stand. Without emergency intervention, the animal may die or permanently lose productivity.

Our Approach:

Instead of stressful intravenous injections, we use innovative calcium boluses (Bovikalc). They are administered orally and provide prolonged calcium release, allowing the cow to quickly restore muscle tone and stand safely without risk to the heart.
