Drug description
ARTEMAZINE — Fly Prevention and Control
Artemazine is a poultry feed premix, belonging to the chemical class of Triazine, an insect growth regulator (IGR). 99% of the administered dose is excreted unaffected in the faeces. It is a chitin synthesis inhibitor, interfering with deposition of chitin, blocking molting from first to second stage larvae.
Recommended Fly Control Program (3 month cycle): Month 1 — Artemazine; Month 2 — Larvasan; Month 3 — Gap. Composition: Cyromazine 1%. Dosage: 500g/ton of feed. Available as: 25kg Bucket.
